I’m still struggling to grok the various regions – names of the areas, the geographical features, and the cities, despite keeping several maps from here open plus trying to find some on google.
I have aphantasia (I can’t picture things in my mind voluntarily) so geography has always been a real struggle for me (try writing a geography test when you have to memorize Europe by thinking things all in text/words rather than pictures!
The one at the top of this page isn’t bad, maybe we could have major city names added?
I’m very happy to finally be a member, one can only re-listen to THOE episodes so many times before going a bit loopy, and i’m very much enjoying THOS so far.
My grandmother on my dads side was a McLeod – unsurprisingly of Norse origins as i’m 6’2+ with blonde-ish hair and a red-ish beard – and English (back to the Neville family) on my mothers side, so I feel like there’s some level of connection to these events.
In fact, I can’t see in the resources page any map which is good at showing the Anglo-Scottish border in general, perhaps with notable sites on both sides (like in the episode i’m listening to you mention Berwick Castle, and looking up where it is located was very helpful to my understanding what’s going on.
I found this thing, but I reckon it might be far too detailed…
Hi Tim; Perth added (Scone is right next door); I made the map myself so can’t really add the Border to it ‘cos it would take too long; but I have added Berwick and Carlislke, soi yoiu can draw a line between the two of them!

I hope your shed is nice and comfy!

If I find a better one I will let you know.
So nice to have all this new content to devour, i’m on episode 23 of THOS, good stuff. Exactly what I wanted – more of THOE style, new content.
